WELCOMING YOSEP

We want to start this newsletter by welcoming Yosep who arrived to our home just 2 weeks ago.
Yosep is 8 years old and still is unable to read and write. He was abandoned by his parents who divorced and chose to run away to make new lives and leave their little boy behind. For 3 years now he has been living with ‘so called’ relatives who have beaten him on a regular basis.
 
Children should never be allowed to suffer like this. We hope that we can give Yosep the love and support he needs to be able to recover from his last few years of horror.

WORK EXPERIENCE and TRAINING PROGRAMS

Such an important part of our mission is to help ensure our children grow in to confident and independent adults. With Work Experience and Training Programs, we hope to help them make their way into society and to be able to support themselves and lead happy well adjusted lives.
We are truly grateful to those of you who support us by giving our children these opportunities.

Asnat, Runi, Erni & Maria having been acquiring great skills at KTI, the team there have been so supportive and allocated staff in each department who guide and mentor the children throughout this learning period. We cannot thank you all enough for giving these girls this fantastic opportunity and lets hope one day they will be an asset to your team!!

SURFER GIRL

Jener and Titin spent a week at Surfer girl joining them in their sales department. This has been such a great experience for both Jener & Titin giving them the opportunity to broaden their horizons by experiencing life outside of Jodie O'Shea...  

Our children benefit so much from these great opportunities. Sincere thanks to Stephen, Sarah & Dodix for making this happen!!

DESA SENI

What a special environment for Komang to acquire the art of pleasing the palate!! The food at Desa Seni is fresh, organic & nutritious. Komang has been coming home sharing his newly acquired skills with his friends and carers at Jodie O'Shea. Thank you Howard & Tom for joining us in our mission to give our children this wonderful opportunity!!!

We must say a huge thank you to all our volunteers who share their skills with our children.
