Jodie O'Shea Orphanage Newsletter December 2009

Christmas is just around the corner once again.

We will begin our December newsletter with an inspirational story...

TONY

ranon

Our darling Tony has found his true vocation in the beautiful world of surfing.

Matt Scarf from the “Bali Learn to Surf” team generously established weekly surfing lessons

for the Jodie O’Shea children.

Tony caught on this wonderful sport immediately and is now training to become one of

"Bali Learn to Surf "instructors.

Tony, Ade, Asnat and Jener

We cannot thank Matt and his team enough for giving this wonderful opportunity to our children. Their excitement every Sunday as they get ready to go is contagious. We are so proud of their enthusiasm to get out there and give it a go! Our dear Bonnie, without your dedication none of this would have come about, THANK YOU Bonnie for all you are doing.

WORK EXPERIENCE AT JOHN HARDY

For several months now, Asnat, Erni, Runi and Maria have been part of the “John Hardy Work Experience Program”. The girls are acquiring a number of life skills as they work their way through the different departments of this wonderful establishment. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Guy Bedarida, Damien Dernoncourt and Polly Purser for this FABULOUS opportunity.

ENDRO

As many of you know Endro has been battling with the serious medical condition Hypospadias which requires highly specialized surgery. We would like to thank Paul Wheelton for his continuous support in helping Endro. Paul has been in discussion with John Fawcett and we are hopeful that Endro will be having this specialized operation required for his condition in the near future.

THANK YOU THERESE

Therese Hallinan has kindly dedicated her time for one month volunteering with activities.

THANK YOU NATHAN

Nathan Johnson has been helping our children improve their English skills

THANK YOU JOSH AND JAMES

Josh and James Perry have spend many hours with activities and a fab outing to the Waterbom Park.

THANK YOU TONY & YOLE

To Tony and his wife Yole from “ Nothing to Serious” for spending time with the children with the music program

THANK YOU...

Our sincere thanks to all of you who come and visit us with food supplies and donations. We are forever grateful for your generosity.
