As always we had hoped to have sent out a newsletter to you all before now but of course the time has slipped away and we find ourselves nearly half way through the year.

OUR BOYS JOIN THE BULLDOGS SOCCER TEAM

We are really pleased that some of our boys were invited by Stephane Le Baube to join the Bulldogs Soccer Team. This is wonderful gesture initiated by our dear friend Julie and it has brought so much joy to the boys involved and we cannot thank you enough for this thoughtful opportunity. The Bulldogs and the All Stars have now joined up together and will be the Canggu Club Football Academy. Sincere thanks to the Canggu club for their support.

BARBECUE AT JODIE O'SHEA

On Sunday 10th June our children experienced their first Aussie barbecue kindly hosted by Brian and Mansur. A wonderful day was had by all and the children really enjoyed eating sausages and a healthy salad for the first time they even came back for second helpings! Thank you Brian, Mansur, Anne & Sandy Hamilton,Sue Hancock,Di Thomas , Leanne and Diah Winch and the residents and outside friends of Pineview Lifestyle Village. Tapping W.A for your continued support of our home and bringing such joy to our kids.

IDEP HELP US WITH OUR GARDEN

In April Taka and Sayu from Idep came down from Ubud to share their knowledge and guide us all with our vegetable and herb garden. We must say a very special thank you to Idep for taking their time especially on a Sunday to assist us all in organic gardening it has been very inspiring to the children who now take great pride in their garden. Thank you so much.

OUR NEW ARRIVALS

We would like to welcome Pak Edy , Ibu Ketut and their daughter Putri who recently arrived at our home and asked us if we would be prepared to take their daughter as they were homeless and could not afford to look after her. Yanto and I thought it would be a great asset for everyone to have extra help and suggested they might join our ever growing family. After 2 months we are all feeling this has been a huge success for all concerned

Thank you to all of you who so kindly donate clothes, toys and food and linen as many of you know we also have our project in Yogya so any clothing that is not suitable for the children here will never ever go to waste. To those of you who continue to support us each year some of whom we have never met we are deeply grateful and do hope that one day you will visit our home and meet our wonderful children. Trish thank you for the fabulous boxes of brand new colorful t-shirts and pants you are a gem!! WE HAVE TURNED A CORNER

Jodie O'Shea Home will have been open for nearly 2 years in August and as many of you are aware several of the children came from a very abusive situation. There have been times when both Yanto and I questioned what we had done because teenagers at the best of times can be trying but children who have had such a dreadful start in life and such bad teachers can be at times impossible. I am really pleased to say that about 6 months ago I realized we had turned a corner and become a family. Our kids are happy, well fed, going to school and above all are in a loving caring environment. Without Yanto this could never have happened, he has the patience of a saint (well not always) and a great understanding where these children are coming from. Thank you Yanto for supporting us all. Our annual holiday is coming up on the 24th June and once more the children are looking forward to this special few days at Pemuteran. The bus will be stopping by en route to collect Putu Panca, Kadek Dedi,Kadek Rita and Putu ( Joan) Once again we are only able to do all that we do because there are so many kind, generous and caring people out there and we are blessed to have you in our lives. As we say in our kindergarten newsletters May we continue to bring light into the lives of our children
