Christmas in our new home was a joyous occasion for all of us. On the 23rd December we held a pre-Christmas gathering for the children, some of their sponsors and friends. Each child received gifts especially purchased for them by the Canggu Community School (CCS) pupils and their families thus making our children feel not only special but cherished and loved. We would like to express our heart-felt thanks to Canggu Community School and the Friends of Canggu Community School (FoCCS) for their positive community initiative and generosity. Besides the Christmas presents from CCS the children also received gorgeous handmade Christmas stockings brimming with goodies. These stockings were kindly made and given out by Shari and her 7 year old daughter Eva. Another Christmas surprise was the colourful towels, fabulous clothing, Christmas crackers and the yummy cakes thoughtfully donated by Sybil and her family who all joined us for our get together. Lucy, who is currently helping the children with their homework, together with her family brought along lots of sweets - just as well Shari and Eva put in toothbrushes and tooth paste for the children! We again would like to express our heart-felt thanks to all of you for bringing so much joy and excitement to our home. The Big Day Out at Water Bom Park Just before Christmas our children were invited by Miss Kayti Denham and pupils from Sunrise School for a big day out at Water Bom Park. It was a fantastic trip for one and all and we cannot thank Kayti enough for her ongoing support. Furthermore we would like to thank the families at Sunrise for generously paying for our children so they could enjoy the day with their peers. Water Filtration System Andrew, Caroline and their three children James, Madeleine and Will from Perth, who also came along to our pre-Christmas gathering, are very kindly giving us one of the best Christmas presents we could have wished for, a water filtration system to provide clean water for the children. One of the things we really appreciate about this gesture is that it was a whole family decision involving not just mum and dad but their children too. We are truly overjoyed by your family's compassion and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. New Building Update Our new building, again kindly funded by Melissa from Body & Soul here in Bali, is in its final stages of completion. In our next newsletter we will send you all photos.
Our thanks to: Pak Yusuf from Radala Cargo (Bali) for making wooden chairs, which were so badly needed. Finally, we would like to thank all of you who continue to send, support and surprise us with your bigheartedness. It is vital to our continued existence that your ongoing support is maintained, without you we would simply not be able to provide for our children."
